Powerful Stories Heal Our Confused Minds

Are you new to our dispatch? You are very welcome.

Are you a returning friend? You are always welcome as well.

Here is insight for first timers (it is available to repeat visitors too):

Once upon a time, we decided we wanted to give you useful information, every week, delivered in a format that surprised and delighted you. We swore we'd deliver our best work. We promised that we would trip up your eyes and ears, and this dispatch would cling to you after you closed it and lived happily ever after.

So now you are here, you might find the experience of digesting this email a little unorthodox, perhaps confusing, maybe enthralling. At the very least, we'd love you to say:

"That was different from other emails."

We hope we've given the information you need to enjoy what follows.

Advice to make first timers feel included

(Tell them a story in which they are the main character)

  • T ell first timers they are welcome. Show it too.

  • E xplain what is about to happen. In simple words. Easy to grasp.

  • L ead them. Don't allow them to stumble and stray with uncertainly through your business.

  • L et them know you'd love to hear from them/see them again.

We'd love it if you left a comment in the suggestion box on the way out. Your experience matters to us.

Your Next Step Is...

Welcome first timers enticingly

But...

Whatever you do, don't offer them more favourable terms than your existing customers.

Instead:

Tell a captivatingly clear story in which they are the lead character on an easy-to-understand journey.

Have a [GAB] week,

Roger, Paul and Anne
